My business name

When I began my business in 2006, I chose the name, Mind Body Spirit because first of all it just felt right. I also felt that after being a fitness instructor for many years, a person can be extremely physically fit and still feel as if something is missing. Yoga and mindfulness is such a beautiful combination of healthy body and harmonious mind, no matter your fitness level, whether you have an injury an illness or you simply feel tight in your body. After I opened my own studio less than a year ago, I began doubting the name Mind Body Spirit, concerned I wasn’t reaching the fitness minded individuals enough. I changed the name to Be Fit Yoga with hopes to balance yoga and fitness. I realized that the name change was actually disappointing to a large majority of my students.  In response of an overwhelming request, I will continue on with Mind Body Spirit.

Class schedule

Monday 9-10 am

This class is a Vinyassa flow class. Vinyassa means breath synchronized movement. I will instruct students to move from one pose to another while gently focusing on breathing. The poses smoothly run together like a meditative dance. This class will energize you.

Tuesday 6-7 pm

This Hatha practice is a slow paced stretching class focusing on breathing, meditation and relaxation techniques. A place to become very comfortable with yoga. This class will relax you.

Wednesday and Friday 9-10:30 am

This class has a half hour meditation. The style of yoga is Anusara which takes the spiritual foundation of Hatha yoga and brings a positive affirming spirituality to the center of the practice. This class encourages you to embrace your fellow practitioners as partners in efforts of positive change and  acceptance. This class feels more like a family or community rather than an isolated practice. This class encourages us to live our lives positively and with loving intention.

Saturday 11 am-12 pm

This class is a beginner class with ten minute meditation. All poses are held with relaxation and gentle breathing techniques. You will feel lengthened and very relaxed after this class.
